Got an old black and decker router from my buddy, really beat up, trying to recondition it, took the locking shaft off with the small coil spring, cannot figure out how the spring goes back on router. Could some one send me a pic with the locking shaft and spring assembled.
Go to one of the replacement parts websites, like www.ereplacementparts.com and look at the exploded parts diagram for your router. It should give you a good idea of the spring position in the assembly. Even a different type number should be close enough for you to see this.
Not sure why, but the www.ereplacementparts website was down when I tried to access it. I wanted to provide a link direct to the web page for your router. I hope it's just a computer glitch because I buy most of my tool repair needs from them.
