As newbie to the world of CNC Routers,I am considering the purchase of same for hobby purposes. Without spending the farm on one, what is ones advice for such a machine for this purpose. Any other advice would be much appreciated, specially about things to stay away from in ones experience.
Just joined this forum and looking forward to learning lots.
Thanks
Need a little more information as far as what you want to accomplish or if you are wanting a ready to run machine or if you want to build it and what you want to spend.
Check out the Probotix line of machines, they are ready to run. Quite a few people here have experience with them as well, including me.
Hi Dutch and welcome. If you click on the large Routerforums logo it will take you to our homepage where the individual sub forums show up. If you go to the CNC one you can look back through previous posts, some of which discuss different machines and software available. Here is a link to a post by Bill Griggs, one of our knowledgeable members on the subject. This one is about budget priced machines. http://www.makermasters.com/inexpensive-cnc-router-tables-wont-break-budget .
