Pretty neat, but what I don't get is how they can do that for only $20. I know it's a kit and once you have the pattern and settings for the laser you just put the blank in, push the button, and come back later to take it out but that just seems awfully low. Maybe they sell a ton of them and are looking for volume to make a profit - either way it's pretty cool. Thanks for posting, Theo!

I wondered about cost too, so just tried to put one in the cart and go to checkout to see what the shipping was. Didn't show ANY shipping cost. But it didn't say free shipping either. Strange.

Theo here is what I get on shipping charges to Texas.

They are probably keeping the cost low because of a low demand level. If the cost is too high then a lot of people won't buy one. Got to think about how many people would even want one.

Novel idea, for those nights when you're a bit tanked and can't find the light switch....VBG

I am an electrician by trade, just a woodworker wanna be. Showed the switch to the Missus, and she wants one for her She Shed (well really just a craft room), so we have one on order. Website had some interesting stuff. I agree that the price seems very reasonable (OK, way cheaper than I was expecting). Depending on the reactions to it, once we have it, might be able to help their sales a bit.

Hello - I am the fellow who sells the "Rube Goldberg - Unnecessarily Complicated Light Switch Covers". I am glad you are enjoying them. In the near future, there will be more models added - for "Lutron" type rocker switches and for both these and the toggle switches, there will be added "double" switches for those places were you have two light switches. To make these, we have an Epilog laser and a SuperMax drum sander, the latter is a real finger and time saver.
