Ps can the post processor be the problem
Thanks Dave

A couple of things to check: Are you using the right post processor for your CNC? Has the CNC been properly set up/configured?

Which post processor are you using?

My guess is that you have Mach3 setup incorrectly.

In Mach3. under Config, Native Units, is it set to the correct units? (mm I assume?)

Then, make sure you are currently in that mode (G21 for mm, G20 for inches).

Zero the axis, and use MDI to move a certain distance. If the distance is wrong, then your steps/unit is wrong.

I'm pretty sure that your steps/unit are incorrect.
What type of machine is this? Did you configure Mach3 yourself?

From your PM, you are using the standard Vectric Mach3 metric post. This post is used by thousands of people without problems.

I am using VCarve Pro and I had a similar problem and for me it was the post processor I chose. Once I was told the correct one to use it has been fine.

It's most likely going to the home position as specified in Aspire. That is normal

Upload your g-code and Aspire file.

Both the Mach2_3_Arcs_mm and Mach2_3_ATC_Arcs_mm should work fine.
Neither are likely to be the problem.
