Boxes from the Man Cave, again
I have been in the Man Cave this past week and made 6-boxes. I made 2-boxes out of walnut and curly maple for the Beads of Courage Organization. This group gives beads to kids to encourage them to go through their cancer treatments. These two boxes are for them to put the beads in.
Also made 2-baskets. Both are made of curly maple and mahogany. One has hummingbirds and one has horses engraved on them.
I made a gift box of cherry with a curly maple top. Had horses engraved on the side of the box.
As soon as I finished making a funeral urn out of birdseye maple, someone bought it before I could get a photo made of it. Have to make another so I can get a photo.
The finish on all is 2-light coats of shellac followed by several coats of polyurethane diluted 50/50 with mineral spirits.
