Default Freud router part

I have a Freud FT3000VCE. I laid it on it's side and the vacuum attachment just shattered. Freud (Bosch) no longer makes routers of any kind and they say that's an attachment, not a part, so they don't have any of them available. They suggested I contact an authorized Freud dealer but couldn't tell me of any that exist since, well, there's no such thing as a Freud router any more.

I guess I'm throwing a Hail Mary here and hoping someone here knows of a dealer or (miracle of miracles) has one off an old dead FT3000CVE they're willing to sell. I hate to toss a $400 router for lack of a $10 part

Freuds are no longer made because they were a very poorly made router with expensive parts (not my opinion, the opinion of the repair shop I took my pooched 2000 to). If no one can help with the correct part you might try looking at aftermarket base plates and see if one comes with a vac attachment built in. Or possibly taking one from some other make router and re fit it for your router (or you might get lucky and find one with the same bolt pattern).

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Another option might be to keep an eye on the local for sale site, ebay, or kijiji, in the hopes that someone is selling one for parts that has other problems and you can scavage it for what you need.
