Default Walnut Burl table

This is the Walnut Burl table top I had to strip down and do over. Much better
the second time. The top was sprayed with two coats of lacquer, the next day
two more coats, did this for 5 days. Than two coats of urethane for three days
with wet sanding between coats.

Did you use invisible lacquer, or urethane?

looks like your picture didn't post...

This would have been the week that I'd have finished chewing thru the restraints...
If only new layers hadn't been added....

You could really bang your knees on that table, as transparent as it is!. Everyone is a comedian - we're here all week, folks.

I think you did too much rubbing with the last coat - rubbed out the entire table!!!!

Some folks call me Vince - other folks call me...........

We refer to that as excessive sanding!

If my math is correct, Larry applied 10 coats of Lacquer and 6 coats of urethane. That amount of finish has bent the light around the table top making it invisible. It's not Larry's problem, it's ours.
