Default update post op

Hi fellow woodworkers and friends,

I am happy to announce that I had my surgery on Wednesday and have been home since late yesterday.
Surgery went well and discovered that it was just in time ! My liver is damaged from the obeisety.
They tell me it will heal on it's own and should go back to normal after a while. Weighed myself yesterday and down to 315lbs. My goal is to be 210lbs apx. The pain is not bad at all. I took the pain meds at 5AM and they say every 6hrs and I still don"t feel I need them and it's 2PM. Got a bad case of bursitis in my left elbow and it seems to be going away. Staples to be removed next Friday and then I'll be ready to make sawdust again ! Thanks to all for your best wishes and support throughout this process.

Dan

The liver is the only organ in the human body that can heal itself.
but it does need help. Keep to the program and good luck.

Great news Dan. Yeah those pain killers are best kept away from if possible. Good luck in the weight journey. It's a whole new lifestyle but one that can be achieved. The payout is really good too.
