Default Elu 96 or 96e ?

Hi folks,

I have an opportunity to acquire either an Elu mof96 or a 96(e)
What is the difference?

Must be a location thing but I've never heard of these routers before. Maybe only available overseas? BTW, welcome to the forum Pentos.

Elu haven't been made for several years.

From Google - If memory serves me right, Black +Decker company, bought Elu power tools and sold under the DeWalt label. DeWalt, in ether 1984 or 1994, took over Elu power tools, the German wood-working power tool company and used Elu technology.

They were very popular in Europe. They were very well made and according to former member Phil P many are still in production use. They were bought out by B & D and I think it was Pat Warner who said that two models of DeWalt routers were direct knock offs. Sorry that I can't tell you what the letter difference means.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.
