This is one of my finished CNC projects. We did it together with my father on CNC Router. The quality is perfect. I especially like the way the feathers have turned out

Wow did that turn out well . Did you design it, or find the vector somewhere?

Just noticed this is your first post . Welcome to the forum. Maybe you could update your profile and give us a first name :)
Stain, yes, but which finish? Lacquer, Shellac, poly, varnish, etc.?

David
Sorry forgot to mention, it is lacquer

Welcome to the forum, Bogdan!

That is very clean and nice work, indeed! How long did it take, what wood is it, what software did you use to design it, etc.?

We like photos so show us that CNC, your shop, tools, projects, etc. whenever you're ready.

430 mm along the Y axis, around 80 mm along the Z axis - this is the scale.

I use Artcam 2018 for roughing, most of models are designed in Zbrush, sometime in 3dsMax.
It took 48 hours to carve it. :))

This is not our first project, we started our work in 2012 on the first CNC router. Since then, things changed and we learnt some lifehacks. Will post more photos of our works then :)

These are our CNC's and workshop. As you can see, we use in our work 3axis CNC. The 3d designs are also important to achieve such quality. Also, we preffer to use tabs.

Bogdan Welcome to the Router Forums.

I agree with you I like the way the feathers turned out. Great shop and tools, looks like you have plenty of room.

I look forward to seeing more of your projects.

Thank you a lot, my friends for such feedback!
We have started in 2012 from simple eBay and Etsy works)))
Look, my father alone made this project, he sent me this photos today. Can't believe he got to such a technique from 2012 untill now.

2 months of work on CNC 3axis, made from Oak. Assembled from 72 pcs. Painted in stain. Finished today by my father. He made amazing work on his own.
This was made on order for a special client.
Here are some photos of the project unpainted. :)
