Hello
I'm new to this forum , I am a furniture manufacturer based in Egypt .
I am looking for an online place where they sell replacement collets for Ryobi routers , could anybody help ?
Thanks
JP Haggar
I didn't dig down far enough to check for collets because I didn't know the model numbers or any other specific information. I have dealt with them before and are pretty good to work with.
Good Luck
Interesting prices! My Ryobi 2100V uses the same collets as the cheapo Macallister 1250 router I got off eBay. Ryobi's price for a collet is more than I paid for the Macallister and the Macallister came with 50 carbide tipped cutters! The Macallister also came with 1/2", 1/4", 8mm and 6mm collets.
At the time, I was looking for something bigger than the little 850w thing I showed the other day. When I first came to Croatia it was difficult to find anyone selling routers and it was Hobson's choice, although for serious jobs I've now picked up better ones.
I picked up the Macallister, new, in a big fitted case with all the cutters in, for less than Ryobi are asking for one collet. At the time, I thought, what the hell, at that price, if it turns out to be a lemon, I can chuck it. It has actually been Ok and the collets appear to also suit my DW625. (Ryobi's have a captive nut on the collet, but the thread is identical to the DW)
It does make you wonder about the mark up on Ryobi's collets. They are almost certainly bought in from someone who just makes collets.
Cheers
Peter
