I just signed onto this forum and have a pretty basic question. My 1617 EVS has stopped starting. I've checked the power--it's OK. The router cord itself could have a break, although it appears to be OK. Any likely suspects other than the switch? Brushes possibly?
You did not mention how long you have had the router but odds are you have one with a defective switch. Contact Bosch and they will send you a new switch at no charge. It is a simple change.
Switch---Call Bosch customer service. You'll have the new, upgraded switch in a week or less (no charge) You can remove the switch and blow the dust out with compressed air, if you're in a hurry. Good luck with your Bosch.
