hello! my name is john. i'm new to this site. i am interested in purchasing a router and would like to know what others recommend as to the best value, reliable, router.
I am a big fan of the Bosch 1617 routers in the 2-base kit, plunge and fixed. This is a very good router with lots of capabilities to handle just about all of your in-shop routing jobs. I even used one of these motors in a router table for a couple years making raised panel doors1
The other good news is that just about everybody sells them so the price stays pretty reasonable.
