I just purchased a Porter-cable 6902 with an 6931 plunger base from my local pawn shop. I was wondering if any one had any ideal on if the knobs (handles) on the base screwed off. I tried by hand put they don't move and I do not want to break them if they are not suppose to come off.
PS. looks like I forgot to put the (K) in knobs in the title, o well.
Most have bolts holding them in place,,,look inside of the base for the bolt heads, then pull your socket wrench out and remove them,,don't forget lefty loosie ,right to tightie

Thanks for the Schematics, I need to take the knobs off for the router to fit it in my table, but I would sure hate to bust them up. Looking at the schematics I may put a rag around the knob and use my channel locks to apply a little more pressure and see what gives. Thanks again and wish me luck, lol.
Mr Jigs, np and I do appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question, thank you very much sir.
