Welcome aboard! I have the 2 1/4 Triton router mounted in my homemade table. I really like the combination. I don't swing big panel bits, so the smaller one works great for me. If you will be swinging bigger bits, the larger router might suite you better.
I took the spring out like others suggested, and it works great. Easy to adjust, and the above table bit changing feature is great. The only time I have to pull my router out of the table is when I have to change the collar from 1/2" shaft bits to 1/4" shaft bits.
