Hi everyone, just a note to tell everyone hello and thanks for sharing your thoughts and knowledge with me in the future. I am retired and just built a new woodworking shop and enjoying it. I am in the market for a new router and lift for a cabinet set up. I would like to hear what everyone ( maybe the majority ) thinks is the best router and router lift to go under the table. I am leaning toward the PC 7518 and the Jess lift.
Hello,Dozerman
Glad to have you join. Sorry to say that i don't use a lift. so i am not going to comment. You can do a search here and read for a long time. Enjoy the forum. It will help a lot of us to have your name, and a location on the profile page. Thank you.
Greetings and welcome to the router forum. Thank you for joining us. Many routers today come with an above counter adjustment. You may want to do the search that Howard suggested, much has been posted on this subject.
Howdy Dozer. I, too, am just adding a lift to my PC 7518 which I've had for 18 years. I love the router but never had it in a lift or mounted on a table. I've been getting help on the Guide Busing and Templates section for routing my first template to mount a Woodpecker V2 lift on to my unisaw.
I want to thank everyone that responded to my question and welcomed me to the forum. Sounds like there is a lot of knowledge that can be learned from you guys experience. Thanks again Roy
