Default router bits

I'm new to routing and would like to know what would you recommend for a beginning set of router bits?

Hi Greg, welcome to the forum.
Tripp is right, MLCS is tough to beat on quality and price + free shipping. I usually get stuff from them to replace ones from a dirt cheap set that I don't expect to get much out of. Matter of fact, I just ordered this set tonite:
Heartland America: 35 Piece Router Bit Set
Got plenty of bits to try out to see if you like them and tough to beat the price, $33 with the free shipping and coupon code. The code is J1R4-9612 if you're interested.

The problem with experience is I usually get it immediately after I need it.

Thanks John,
I checked out the site and ordered the set. As you stated when I get better at routing and figure out what bits I really need I will replace them with better ones. Right now I have a 2hp Craftsman router with only 1/4" collet, but, will eventually upgraade to a router combo with 1/2" collet.

I hope they work out for us, I have never used any from them but for a buck apiece it hard to go wrong.
I like the set to start with as I had no idea which profiles I may want to use and the set makes several available.
