Question Craftsman router

Hi, I'm trying to take off the regular router handle part and replace it with the plunge attachment, but I cannot figure out how to remove the stationary/handle part. Can anybody give me some advice? I've had the router for years and never used the plunge attachment, and have misplaced my owner's manual. Help??

Hopefully you are not going to leave the router set up permanently in the Table mode
