Default Router year of mfg

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone would know old my newly acquired Rockwell router is. It's parts are interchangable with a Porter Cable 690.

The nameplate data is:
Motor model 6302 23,000 rpm Type 1 1 3/4 hp 6.8A

Also I have a Craftsman router that I don't know what year it is.
I suspect 1992?
Model 315.1749 25,000 rpm 8. Amp 100% ball bearings

I have had Crafstman since it was new but don't remember just when. It works as good as new but I like the Rockwell because it runs smoother and quieter.

Hello Richard! You might try old machine sight and see if they have the breakdown on what year they were made. Model and serial # is the best way for most things. Otherwise, get online to the manufacture. They can tell when it was built in the same way. I will try to get the machine sight yet this morning!

You may be able to get some information at the factory , check for parts replacement, they may have a sight to help find information by the model and parts numbers Hope that it helps.
