Default Happy Chappy!!!!

Hi Guys,

New to routing and to the forum but I've recently started to build my routing arsenal to get going. I came across a few decent deals and wasn't sure if sharing the information was prohibited, as they are still available. I just wanted to share with others in case some were looking to buy new routers, etc.

I just received 2 of the Triton TRC001 3.25HP routers from an old dealer out in Cornwall, ON. I purchased one for myself and one for my Dad for his birthday this week. The total cost of both, including shipping to my door was $365.00 CDN. These are factory refurbished, so basically recertified as new. I haven't found any of this model for anything close to this price so if anyone can use the information, you can PM me and I will pass it on. They still have some of them available, as well as the smaller MOF001 - both priced at $160CDN.

I also picked up a Hitachi M12V, in excellent condition, for $80CDN. My plan is to keep the Triton table mounted and to use the Hitachi for general hand work.

Pretty happy with the finds and I will post pictures of the tables once they're done. I appreciate the wealth of information on the forum and its been invaluable to me while researching what to buy and how to build the tables. Thanks for the help!

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve - welcome to the forum. Congratulations, sounds like a nice score
Actually we have got a section down under "Other" a subforum called "Bargain Bin" for this kinda stuff. Always appreciate being able to save a buck or three

The problem with experience is I usually get it immediately after I need it.

Thanks John,

Really looking forward to getting it all finished. The routers actually arrived yesterday and are in fantastic condition, complete with recertification certificate from Triton. I see the new ones are selling for $340 and upwards up here so to get 2 for that price was outstanding.

Thanks for the advice regarding where to post messages. I will certainly do so and if someone can get as good a deal as I got, then it's purpose served!

Take care and thanks again for your advice,

Steve

I have been thinking of getting 2-3 Tritons and mounting them on one double or triple headed table. A low budget version of a three headed shaper table for doing production runs of raised panel doors.

Hi Erich

A member did just that, he used a octagon table setup, it was great for the panel door setup..he said..one router for each station point (3 ea.) around the table top with one vac, setup in the center ..for all the routers.
