Default Shaper nut

Hi, everyone:
I have a Craftsman Shaper model 149.239110. It uses a shaper nut Number 4700-097-70 to hold the stub to the spindle. That nut is not longer available at Craftsman PartsDirect and unfortunately I lost it. If someone of you in this forum knows how I could find the nut, please let me know. I will really appreciate any help!!! Thanks.

American Machine & Tool Co., Inc is the tool manufacturer according to, and they are no longer around. I can't find any info on what types of threads are on this nut, or an owners manual to get a good look at it. Maybe someone else will be able to offer more assistance. Sorry!

Humm.. I wonder if you can have one manufactured if you knew exactly what it looked like?

I replaced one on mine a long time ago and hell I love that shaper.

I would be willing to bet it's a standard thread either american or metric.

Do you have the means to measure the threads on the spindle? Also maybe make a drawing sketch of what it looked like.

Might be able to help ya better.
