Default router search

I just registered to the forum. I have been using a 2 1/4 craftsman router in my home built table. I would like to upgrade to a 3+ hp router for less strain when routing raised panels etc. I would welcome any coments on this subject.
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom

It's true that you need more power and a lower speed to do some of the raised panels, But your router will do just fine if you use the
Vertical Raised Panel router bits
MLCS Raised Panel Carbide Tipped Router Bits 2
You can use them on your standard router table with a tall fence.
