Smile Porter Cable speedmatic

Hi. Newbie here.
Does anyone know of a source for older Porter Cable router bases?
I've got a 3-3/4" speedmatic motor that needs a base....which is probably a common problem. The model 100 base is too small (3-1/2")
Thanks

There is a reason why we ask you to fill out your location on the profile. We direct you to parts or service when possible. I have an extra base, and it is new... never had a router in it. I also have an Oak Park 8" square base for it which allows the use of the larger Oak Park style guide bushings. I have shipped across the country and even to Australia. Let us know where you are and send me a PM if you are interested. Check on the motor to see if it is a type 1 or 3. I will make you a very good deal on this.

Hi BOB...no bases available for the 537 on those sites. Thanks for the info anyway.

Mike, the keyword is Speedmatic. Your motor should fit into the base for a 7518. Take your motor into a Rockler, Woodcraft or other local supplier who sells PC. They will let you try out the fit. If you are planning on using the router in a table the short cord wont matter, but you can always change to a longer cord. Other options are to use a router lift or worst case build your own.
