Default How much lost in signal is allowed

I have 15Mb in my desk PC (is the good average here arround, but true). Well as the router a son brougth ressulted bad we bought as a rush a smal Fujitel one near home. It functioned probably well after two or more settings. I work with my Mini Compaq at less than three meters from the desk one. Well, I get 13.8 Mb in my Mini Compaq. And when in living room, not more that 15 meteres, I low down at 3Mb. Is it normal? Should, in the future, better buy a newest router? Many thanks and regards.

Try a router forum, ok, try a computer router forum. This is power tools and we're glad to have you here, hope you'll be back to talk tools but for now look elsewhere.

Thanks for stopping by, but this one is for woodworking routers, not network routers.

Sounds to me like your variable speed controller is shot. Lee Valley tools has good ones, should get your router right back on speed. Let us know how it works out fer yuh.
