Default Problems with Hitachi M12V

Not sure if this is the right place or not but my Hitachi M12V router, which I have had for about 10 years and simply love, quit in the middle of a job. I thought I had blown a circuit breaker but alas this was not the case. I removed the motor cover and could not see anything obvious so replaced it and fired it up. To my amazement it started, but as soon as I started to cut it quit again. A day or two later I tried it again. It started but only ran about 15 seconds and the quit. Has anybody experienced this problem and how if so how did you correct it?

Than ks

Hi Ayjay

Did you have it in a router table ?,,if so the M12V was not made to be used upside down all the time ,take the switch out and blow out the saw dust, you can check it by passing the switch, if blowing out the switch didn't help you will need to replace..or use a router speed box device, a 20.oo item, it may be cheaper than replace the switch..if you can find one...
