Default Router bits

Hi Everyone, my first post. I am looking for a router bit that makes the smalest corner. I am cutting a 4" wide by 1" deep rectangle from 2X4

Hi Bob.
Are you talking about a dado in your 2x4?

That is correct. A 1 1/4" X 4 1/2" X 1/4" dado on the side of a 2X4.

Hi Bob, welcome to be here, I am also new, hope we could communicate more, and help each other.

For your demand, first Bob, what materials you need to process, wood/acrylic/glass/stone or..? How about the materials thickness and engraving depth? To get best effects, it's important and necessary to find the most suitable kits for your CNC machines by your demand.

I finally made a jig that works great. I haven't used my router much until and was basicallly afraid of it. After making the jig and using it a few times I am feeling better about using it. Thanks
