Default New to the Router world!!

G'Day!

Yep, another down under member. All the way from Hobart, Tasmania.

Just dropping a line to say hi, and thanks for the forum. So many useful links, hints and tips.

Not entirely new to the use of a Router, I would have to say the best thing I ever did was to make my own Router table. Used the Gifkins DIY instructions, and for about $150 I now have a table with mitre track and inserts which has opened up so many possibilites.

Looking forward to digesting, learning & sharing.

Cheers!

Hi Roy,

welcome to the forum,

Did you build the table exactly as laid out by Roger, or make any changes?

A photo would be great.

I have my Triton router set up in an Oak Park table - simple but effective

Hey James,

Table top was pretty much as per the Gifkin plan/instructions, base is different. Nice and basic, but flat and functional. Cobbled together out of what was lying around. Can't post pics as I have yet to have enogh posts to allow this. Will get some up soon.

I now understand why mulitple routers are so useful. I hate having to take mine out of the table!!!

Cheers,

Roy.

Hi Roy

I believe you can attach photos before you reach 10 posts. Its just that you cannot post URL's.

Welcome to the world of 'multiple routers" ha ha.

I keep my triton exclusively for the table and use the Makita 3612c for most other uses.
