Default Changing collet

I just got a router from Sears and can't figure out how to change the collet fromthe 1/2 inch to the 1/4 inch. Been looking at the book for 1/2 hour and can't figure it out. Can someone help how the bit mechanism works? Thanks. Zach

Welcome to the Forum! The Collete on the router is 1/2 in. There should be a 1/2 in. to the 1/4 in. sleeve that installs into the 1/2 in. Colet. You should see some very small slits on the top, and on the bottom. I also have a straight collar and a Allen wrench there also! I hope this helps Zach

Greetings Zach and welcome to the router forum. Thank you for joining us, and remember to have fun, build well and above all be safe.

Mine is a model 320.17549 and each of the colletes has it's own nut
