Default Dovetail routing

Recently purchased a Triton 2 1/4 router to used with my Leigh 1258 jig and wondered if anyone had experience with similar setup?
I am new to your forum, have been doing woodwork as a hobby for 70 plus years, medicine as a profession 50 plus years, now finally retired. Spent ten plus years doing boat interiors, 10 years special tables, and now want to do tongue drums, just fopr the fun. That's me in a nutshell.

Greetings Jim and welcome to the router forum. Thank you for joining us, and remember to have fun, build well and above all be safe.

I have an Akeda jig and most any fixed based router should work. Just follow your manuals and find some scrap wood to practice on.

Thank you for your reply, Jerry, but my real concern is the Triton router (and I should have mentioned it) which is new to me, and seems difficult with bit change with bushing in place. I have used the Leigh 1258 since the mid 1980's, I find it OK, but like anything else requires practice (especially for an "on again - off again" wood shaper such as I). Jim
