Hi Warren - the Bench Dog is a benchtop setup that stands 24" high. Setting on a bench would put it about 60" high, a bit high for my taste. To low if not on a stand.
The router depot comes with a stand at 32", about the same height as a countertop. Prices seem about average to me. The router depot one looks almost identical to a MLCS offering, MLCS Router Table Top, Fence, and Cabinet Base
for about the same money. MLCS is $190 for the table and plate plus $40 + depending on the stand you want.

The problem with experience is I usually get it immediately after I need it.

I have used the Router Table Depot to get components for my table. The prices were good as was their service.

+1 for RTD products, price, service.

- I have a Router Table Depot Benchtop Table (which I see they no longer carry). I took the legs off it and made a cabinet for it. A good investment and only slightly more than if I assembled all the components for one. 1st time attempt at adding a pic to forum mail. Apologies if it fails.

- not the biggest or fanciest one, but learned a lot using it and am now plotting building a larger table/cabinet incorporating personal preferences.

I have no experience with RTD, but I did look at the table, and it appears to be identical to the Grizzly that's going for $119.00. Check out the link below.
