Question What type of wood to use for Pattern Cutting

I've got a Milescraft 1204 SpiroCrafter Router Pattern Cutting Kit and I was wondering if any of you could give me advice on the type of wood I should use and what types to avoid, i.e., plywood to get the best results.

Again, a great site.

Still too cold to fish, even here in Alabama!

Hi Jim

Just about anything but not plywood of any type, as you know plywood is put it down in a cross overlay pattern and will not come out real clean.. stay away from hard board of any type it's full of junk and will wipe out the router bits, rocks are rocks and sand is sand .
