Default How to fasten template

What are the members suggestions to fasten a template to project?
I have a circle template that I want to use to cut a circle, using the flush trim bit.
The template is 10 inches, I do not want to use a nail or screw to hold in place.
Thanks

HI Martin

I will suggest PIN (23g) nails, they are so small you can't see the holes and if you do a drop of water on the nail holes ,they will disappear just like magic, that's the neat thing about pin nails ,they push the stock to one side and the water will pop it right back..I don't suggest using tape it likes to let the stock move just a little bit..and the glue will seal the wood. ( botchs at stain time )

I'd clamp & rout, reclamp and rout.
Many? Then I'd fixture and use toggles.
A zillion? Then Vacuum hold down.
