Default Router Lifts

I am a retired manager for one of the big box home centers. I have been working with wood since I was 10 years old. Since I am in the process of rerbuilding my routeer table, I am thinking of building a mechanical lift for the router, since I refuse to pay the outrageous price for a factory made lift. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Too expensive for me too; moreover, still unnecessary.

I would recommend a search of YouTube. There are several that are there, that I considered. Work got in the way, and overtime, I ended up buying one (time to make verses money).

Functional router lift
Wooden router lift
Shop made router lift
Homemade router lift, are all video titles. (I am too new for posting URL's)

Hope that helps some.
