Default Vizio XWR100

Hey everyone I'm new to the forum not sure whether this is the right place to put my question and I have searched the forum to see if their were any threads on XWR100 before making this and I couldn't find any. I recently bought the XWR100 router it's currently installed in my parents house which is about 100-120 feet away from where my house is my previous router which was the netgear wgr614 had been in the same spot where the vizio currently is and i was able to pick up the signal at my house but it would randomly go away which was when i decided on getting the xwr100 expecting the signal to be stronger in the same given area but now I'm unable to even see the signal I was wondering if there was anyway to improve the signal on the xwr100 without having to go out of my way and spending more money I've been looking around to see if i could find some schematics on it so that i could locate the antenna on it but to no avail if there isn't any way to improve my signal on the xwr100 is there anyway to turn it into a wireless adapter or a repeater of some sort or maby something that i could do with the wgr614 to work with the xwr100 in reality my main goal is to be able to play online with my xbox it's the newer one with the built in wireless and i'm running into a lot of walls this is one area i'm not very educated in any help will be greatly appreciated
