Default My New Router Arrived Last Night (Photos)

Last night was poker night and with 11 players seated the door bell rang at 8pm. To my surprise the UPS guy was standing at my gate with one of the two new Makita routers I purchased from Amazon with free shipping. Arrived 5 days after placing the order...

The Makita is a beauty and the quality is superb. Makita has been making outstanding tools for over 50 years and this router is smooth and slick. Very little plastic unike many of the router on the market. The router is relatively quiet compared to all the other routers I have in the shop.

A nice added plus was the guide that came with the Ridgid Trim Router fits the Makita. Great case too...

Nice set up, what do you think of the Ridgid?

That looks pretty cool AzViper .....that'll give you a buzz.

Mine arrives tomorrow morning ......Oh boy, am I going to have a sleepless night .......... thats if alls well with New Zealand Courier post !!!

Hope they don't try to fathom out a new route from Auckland to Westport .... Most Aucklanders have never been South of the Bombay Hill's (not the Indian ones) and only 9% have ever crossed Cook Strait ....so you see why I have the worries.

I see I have a high standard of photos to follow come the daylight.

I really like the Ridgid trim router. Very well made and feels good in the hand. Easy to make adjustment whether using the micro adjustment or push the release and slide the plate to where you need it. Has a LED light to highlight the work area, 10 foot cord, variable speed, comes with a square or round plate, guide, tools, and nice nylon case. The 5/16" rods for the guide screws into the aluminum housing about 3/4" making a very sturdy setup.
