Default Trying to Learn Proper Use of Routers

This is my first visit to the Router Forum. I read thru some of the forum topics today and was very impressed with what I found , particularly , the forum having to do with Router Tables. Really enjoyed the posting associated with one of the members discussing the construction of a Router Table. Very impressed with the amount of information sharing. I think I am going to enjoy visiting the different forums.

Look forward to learning something about Routing and Routers.

Two step process:

read this:

http://www.routerforums.com/woodwork...organized.html

then watch the router workshop videos here:

The Woodworking Channel

Watch carefully how Rick and Rob handle and use the router. Also listen to the machines. They speak volumes on how they're used and if they're happy or not. Specifically you want to see how they use a safety pin with a bearinged bit.
