Lightbulb Router lifts , Router cabinet

I plan to buy a router table cabinet , either Woodhaven or Bench Dog . I already have a PC7518 for this table and I will be making raised-panel doors .

I really like the Bench Dog System with the cast iron table . The only problem with this is that I had also planned to use a Jointech Smart Digital lift , and it will not fit the 8.25 x 11.75 cutout in the Bench Dog table .

I am not familiar with the Bench Dog lift . I am sure it is a fine lift , but I have problems with my eyesight and the digital readout is a solution to an ongoing problem . I thougt I would try a phenolic or laminated mdf top (with a standard 9.25 x 11.75 cutout) so I could use the digital lift.

Alternatively, I could use the Woodhaven (8244 or 8234) System with the Smart Digital lift. It appears to be a quality system , but I am not familiar with Woodhaven .

Anyone with experience, suggestions, comments , etc. on the above please add your input. I suppose laminated MDF would be quieter than phenolic. I don't have a humidity problem , and it will not be for "production" use .

I made my previous table, years ago, but I don't want to do it again. My house burned ,shop and all, a few of years back , and I am still replacing things . Seems never ending . Any help would certainly be apprediated.

Hi Stewart - Welcome to the forum
In my estimation, Woodhaven is one of the higher end suppliers. I haven't gotten as much from them as I would like to have but what I have gotten fit and finish has been exemplary.
As a side note, if you pick up the 8244 through Amazon.com, shipping is free
Amazon.com: Woodhaven 8244K Phenolic Router Table, Fence & Cabinet Kit: Home Improvement

I don't think the lift is included with that package though. You would need the 1436 lift and 1441 digital readout to complete your project.

The problem with experience is I usually get it immediately after I need it.

Thanks John.
I know the lift is not part of the package and I could use any 91/4 x 113/4 lift , but I am inclined to go with "Woodhaven all the way". I will just add the digital readout to the Woodhaven lift .

Hi Stewart - I don't think you will be disappointed with Woodhaven products. I would love to have more of them but my budget balks at that.
