Default Triton router,trend bits...?

Hi folks, I receantly bought the triton mof 001-1400w router,it comes with A 1/2" collet, today I bought A new trend 'craft pro' 1/2" striaght bit but when I went to put it in the router it was very very tight,so tight that I had to free it with A pair of pliers.I have other 1/2" bits and they seem to fit ok!...has anyone else had this problem with trend bits? Thanks Philip.

I've never used Trend bits, but I have had problems in the past with router shanks that are over and undersized for a particular collet.
