Default Problems with Triton Warranty coverage?

Hi,

I purchased a Triton MOF001 in January of this year and it failed a few weeks ago with less than 20 hours on it. I'm having problems getting Triton to honor their warranty (in this case, through Toolstream.us).

In particular since it was mail-order, Toolstream is 'trying to arrange pickup' but they have no ETA on when or if that will happen. It's now been 2 weeks.

Anyone have any contacts at Triton I could inquire with to find out what's going on? I am concerned I will be stuck with this.

Thanks!

Hello Ben
I see this is your first post since joining.
Have you talk to tool stream I see no reason that they can not have you drop that at UPS or Fedex they should be able to email you a reurn address label I personal have never dealt with them maybe someone else can help. Good luck

Looking forward to your participation.

Ben...I recently needed a part for my TRC and spoke with Rebecca at Toolstream number. She had it shipped as promised and received it a week later. You likely spoke with her as she explained she takes all the calls and receives all the emails left on the Triton site.

Best of luck,

Nick

Thanks, Nick. I had spoken with her as well, more than once. My outcome so far has been very different.

I wont buy another Triton tool ever again. I am going through the same issue as you. decided to fix the router my self because it was defective right off the bat and didn't to wait a long time to get it back. But was I wrong. Its been 2 month and my router is in pieces waiting for a part to come in that will never be available. I kept sending them messages when will the part be in and they keep saying its been ordered and that was 2 month ago. Should of bought American made since that's were I live but I am only human. Is there another parts supplier for Triton parts? I tried Kreg and they no longer carry the parts. So now I bought a some what expensive souvenir. Well you learn something everyday. Bad thing for me is I'm still learning.

Well the 3 1/4HP is getting hard to come by in the US anyway. Quite a few 2HP, but very few tra001's.

I have found that hand tools are the best choice when I want to make mistakes at a slower rate of speed.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.
