Default new to the site but not to life

Just wanted to say hi! I of course do have a question that is why I joined the forum.

I had a lady at a yard sale, just put a old sears craftsman router curbside after it did not sell. I pick it up and brought it home and plugged it in and it works. It is missing the subbase and iam not sure about the Collet and retaining ring. I guess what I really need is a copy of the owner/operating manual if someone has one that can be emailed it would be of great help. Sears Craftsman's model 315.17381

Hi Gary, welcome to then forum.

This may be an older model. If you find it hard to buy parts [and the parts you are missing seem to be the most sought after] use it as a doorstop and buy a new 1/2 shank variable speed router.

Welcome to the forum.

I have a couple of Sears routers and their associated parts laying around.

I would have to check the model number against yours but I would be more than happy to provide whatever parts you may need.

They are just collecting dust and taking up space. Let me know if you are interested.

Just remember what my father always said, " Half the people in this world are below average!", and everything in life will make a hellova lot more sense.
