Default PC75182 came with no collets

I never even thought about this till I read a review on amazon where a guy complained it came with no collets.
So instead of buying collets should a guy order a muscle chuck instead , and is that the same thing ?
What about going from 1/2" to 1/4" bits , do you heed two separate muscle chucks ?

I donít always insulate , but when I do .
Ok ,I never insulate

Fire it was the motor only, as I ordered the PC75182 . I didn't want a base as it was going to go in an Incra lift .
Although with all the negative things I'm hearing I'm close to aborting using it at all , was going to go with Milwaukee instead

You would think it would come with both. It's useless without at least one of them. Rather than buy one of their collets I would go with the Chuck. I think it uses a bushing but don't quote me, I don't have one yet.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

If I clean my garage there just may be some there's, but I starting thinking back to when I opened the box and I swear there was just the motor only

I keep on hearing about this muscle chuck , so I thought this may be a good opportunity to try one

Use the cottin' pickin' thing Rick...
you are not a production facility for crying out loud...

the collets were missing when I bought the motor only 7518 part of this thread..

from the spec sheets.. it's suppose to come w/ a 1/2" collet...
nice of them to include the power cord though....

Replacement Motor Includes:
Porter Cable Model 75182 Replacement Router Motor
Porter Cable 42950 Collet Assembly
Power Cord

Two (2) wrenches

This would have been the week that I'd have finished chewing thru the restraints...
If only new layers hadn't been added....

Stick....

Whoopsy , just checked the garage and low and behold I found this brand new bag with two wrenches in it and a 1/2" collet

Now I have to find that review on amazon again and tell that dummy to check his garage !
