Default Porter-Cable vs ELU 3338

I have 2 available to me. Actually I have both but can only justify keeping one of the two.

Porter-Cable 6902 with table (P-C brand, small), plunge base, and standard base.

B&D ELU 3338 with a custom-made table.

The P-C is easier to handle. But the ELU has bit more umpf to it.

Or is this group like my photo groups where one can never have too much glass -- one can never have too many routers? Bits, now that I can understand.

3338 in good order? Then that's the one I'd keep.

You are spot on, it's just like photography, never to much glass, never to many wood wordworking tools, and there is no ends to the little things, just except and have fun.

Ditto.

The older PC's were great routers. The new ones, not so much.

Give me an ELU any day.

Do you happen to know a state side distributor? I thought Rockler was once carrying them but I am not sure they do any more.

Just remember what my father always said, " Half the people in this world are below average!", and everything in life will make a hellova lot more sense.

I've made my decision. Sort of.
While we're doing these renovations I'm going to keep theme both.
The ELU is heftier so it goes in a table.
The P-C is lighter and thus easier to use hand held.
The older I get the less I want to hang onto a tank in my hands.
So in the Spring I'll probably part with the ELU.
It may be the better of the two but it is not really a good "fit" for my use.
