Not BS Charlie.... not by a long shot..

I don't have Google, Chrome, Outlook, IEx, MS, WINx, Photobucket, Picasa, VIVL, PhotoPad, MS Office(x), Norton, McAffee, AOL, and some others on this computer....
I refuse to go to their associated sites or sign into any accounts based with any of these softwares...
Sick of their control freak natures and all the "phoning home" they do... talk about data mining...

FWIW- Yahoo and Hotmail anything are 100% blocked... don't need the trash that often "rides" in on those two...
Hades will have to thaw out 1st before I'd consider changing my mind...

If you want to see what's happening on your computer run this software...
the free edition is all you need...

CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

Notes:

the very 1st time you run this it make take a bit of time... afterwards only a couple of minuets..
use the default settings...

go to options then settings...
check blocks two and three...
uncheck one and four...

click on "secure file deletion"...
change the setting "simple overwrite to Very complex overwrite"...

Cookies tab...
in the cookies to keep column... you decide...
move the ones you don't want by highlighting it/them and moving it/them to the left column...

tools tab...
Save this until after you run cleaner and registry...
running the cleaner and registry functions 1st will unjumble your 'puter and make using this function a lot easier and way more through...

now you are ready to run...
close any and all widows except for CCleaner...
go to the cleaner tab (little broom on the top left) and open the function...
hit the run "cleaner tab" (low right corner) and let 'er rip...
since you have never done this before, run it a 2nd time to clean up loose ends...

now do the registry function....
scan for issues...
fix all issues...
do backup when asked...
rerun...

now go to the "tools function"...
dump those obscure softwares and addons that piggybacked in w/o you ever being aware of it..
to dump.. highlight what you want to get rid of and hit uninstall...

reboot the computer...
open CCleaner and rerun the Cleaner and registry functions...

from here on out, weekly maint should be all ya need...

suggest you print this post and if you have questions - just ask...

This would have been the week that I'd have finished chewing thru the restraints...
If only new layers hadn't been added....

I'm a plaintiff in our Provincial battle (Class Action Suit) against Smart Meters...our electrical distribution is through a Crown Corp. That is to say, the Provincial Gov't owns B.C.Hydro.
I'm fed up with this constant assault against one's privacy.
What's Smart Metering got to do with invasion of privacy you ask?

Woodchuck is gone guys not to be heard from again. He wanted his account deleted and we obliged him.

By the way, I've been told that Google agreed to share all information in their cloud with the US government. Be careful what you say, someone is listening ( for real).

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Good info, all the same.

I use CC Cleaner and Malwarebytes. The latter is more for protection against malicious websites.

Just remember what my father always said, " Half the people in this world are below average!", and everything in life will make a hellova lot more sense.
