Rich, The simple answer to your question is "yes" - there are many. If you're not a subscriber to any Wood Working magazines, you can go to a newsstand or bookstore and buy single issues. Look at the ads throughout the magazine. Visit the websites provided.
This should point you in the right direction for a starting point.

Rich, there are lots of free videos on the web on this topic.

Here one that I like (though more because steve is always entertaining). However, his safety techniques need some improvement. (use featherboards and push sticks and, maybe, Grrrippers)

Norm has a couple of router videos.

They are pretty good, too.

Speaking of publications, I think that I have heard that Bill Hylton's book "Router Magic" is one of the best around. Before I buy it, does anyone have an opinion of it?

YouTube has lots of beginning router videos too.

Jim, all I've ever heard about that book is good. Amazon is a good place to look for deals and eBay has it sometimes too.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Yes, i do have an opinion on it. Great resource. Good education, background on jig development, how to use them. If i never use more than the small percentage i have, it was a great investment.

Others may disagree, and your outcome may be different than mine.

All offer some hints, tips and techniques....
