Default Bosch Type Suitability

Hi All, I have been waiting for my new router for almost 2 months (thru ebay)so have borrowed my No.1 son's Bosch GOF 1600 machine again. My intention was to make a suitable table for my router & another for his. The questions are,is the Bosch GOF1600 a suitable router to mount in a table ? & does anyone have plan/sketch for a lifter I could build into this table? (to save buying one) The router I've ordered does not need a lifter. Thanks for any advice, Jim.jj777746
PS does anyone remember the radio serial "Charlie Chan"?He called his 1st born son "Number one Son."Good luck,Jim.

At 2hp (for us Americans) the Bosch 1600 should be up for spinning medium sized bits in a table.

The Bosch GOF 1600 has a 2 piece cone shaped 1/4 inch collet & imo would be a tad fiddly re bit changing when installed in a router table.Has any forum member ever used a Bosch GOF 1600 & would you recommend installing it in a router table?
