Default craftsman 320.27680 1/4 collet

Hi guys I was at sears and seen their 2 1/2 horse router and end up getting their display model but it didn't come with the 1/4 collet and nut just the 1/2 inch collet and nut. Was wondering if someone knew the part number for the 1/4 inch collet and nut or knew where I could get one at? thanks for any help

Welcome Keith.
Sears has a website where you can find parts for many of their tools. Here's your collet:

Hi Keith and welcome to the forum. Some of us use a reducer bushing to go from 1/2 to 1/4. My Hitachi M12V came with one and there isn't a 1/4" collet available for it. You can get them at MCLS or Rockler's I think. I get mine from Lee Valley. They're about $4-5.

Someone I consider a master woodworker once told me that a master woodworker is not someone who never makes mistakes. He is someone who is able to cover them up so that no one can tell.

Hi Keith. Welcome to our little corner of the 'net.

I take it the store where you bought it doesn't have it available? Don't wait too long before checking the web site that Andy provided... "no longer available" seems to happen real fast where parts are concerned.

Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on
