Default Has it really been 7 years??????

I was just looking at my profile to see if I needed to make any changes and I realized I have been on this forum for some time now.

I have participated and do participate on many forums but I do not think I have that much time invested in all the others put together as I do here.

I guess that says something about the group of people here that participate. I really enjoy the time I get to spend with all of you and just wanted to let all of you know that although I have not been in the shop making sawdust as of late, this site has helped me keep my sanity during this transition period.

Thanks for all the good times and I hope to spend another 7 years watching all of you grow and produce beautiful work.

Brad

Just remember what my father always said, " Half the people in this world are below average!", and everything in life will make a hellova lot more sense.

Brad - totally agree. I haven't been here as long as you but I feel right at home. I've been a member of other forums that I've since dropped for various reasons - main one being that they tend to get antagonistic. Not here. Members may have differences of opinion but I haven't seen a thread that has turned sour. I try to get onto the forum daily (and sometimes a few times a day). Members are knowledgeable which is great, but very friendly which is even better.

Some folks call me Vince - other folks call me...........

it is amazing how so many folks have come and gone over the years, but this forum has always had a great mix of talent and personalities. I really enjoy the friendly way everyone is willing to share what they have learned over the years and inspire new projects. It's definitely a credit to the members and the moderators that it has been going this well for so long.

I've been on a few forums , but nothing comes close to the feeling of home as this one . Really friendly people here and very helpful too.
I never would have known how to proceed without your guys help , and I always like posting what I'm building as I get a lot of reinforcement from you guys and gals .
Certainly met some interesting people here with a diverse amount of careers that I would have never met otherwise .
It's funny as I bash people who use Facebook , but I guess I'm just as bad being here all the time. But at least here I'm learning something.
Thanks everyone

It really is amazing to hang out with such a great group of people. Mutual respect for all, a little kidding around, no one insulting anyone else, willingness to help and contribute to each other, reinforcement on projects, walking newbies through those first projects. Grreat stuff and very much like a home base. Thanks all for keeping this place ship shape.
