Default New boxes

I have had several request for boxes this week. I made one for my grandson's 21st birthday. Made it out of padauk and tiger maple. I saw the one that Bob (in Cyprus) made and was impressed with his design. I also made a box out of East Indian laurel with curly maple top (a bear finishing the laurel since it is oily), and a curly maple with a walnut top. Actually I made several other boxes, but just took photos of these. I am still working on finishing. Which I am horrible at. I just got a birdseye maple board 5 foot long that I planed and sanded. I marked it off in 6 sections and applied different finishes. Will know more about which finish looks best on it. I'll let you guys know how that comes out. Thanks Bob for the idea of the padauk and maple box. Malcolm / Kentucky USA

VERY nicely done!
