Smile Bosch 1617EVS Kit

I received an email from CPO with details about a sale going on with their reconditioned tools. I've had my eye on the Bosch 1617 router kit for a while now so I checked it out. Regular price for the reconditioned is $174 and CPO is giving a $20 discount on purchases over $100 so it cost me $154 plus their flat rate shipping of $6.99 for a total of 160.99. Couldn't pass that up so now I will soon be the owner of a 1617 kit. If you go to their website and don't have or can't find the coupon for this sale it is saverecon.

Very good price Bill and I know you will be happy with it. Check out the sticky threads for all the accessory part numbers. The 1617's are my favorites to work with.

Bill...you already own it, but in a few days you'll actually possess it. I'd agree with Mike--i bet you'll be happy with it. Congratulations!!

Got it yesterday. Really great service from CPO. I was surprised when I unpacked it...it came in the molder plastic case. i can't imagine ever using the case so it will just be something else taking up space. Does anyone use their case?

I bought the same fixed/plunge kit from CPO and received the case as well. Nice case but it sits in a corner collecting dust.
Same as my Porter Cable combo unit - now the two cases keep each other company under a table.

I've got several tools that came in cases. Used to put the tools back in the cases after each use, but that got to be a PITA. But I just can't throw the cases out, seems like a waste.

The only case I don't like is the one for the PC 557 biscuit joiner...it's too short and bends the power cord till the protective cover finally breaks through...

They should make cases for the accessories...like the Bosch or Triton edge guide... dem bad boys is huge ! ! ! The Bosch looks like Starship Enterprise...

The case is probably useless until you take the router (or most other power tools) on a road trip. Then they can can go from useless to priceless.

I don't do road trips so I wouldn't need them for that. I won't throw it out so it will get added to the collection of cases but doubt I will use it very much.

Yes, for want of a better solution at present. Cabinet space is pretty messed up, as all built in garage cabinets are 24" deep.
