Default Sketchup plan distribution

In posting an SU file, I discovered some things.

-You have to zip it up because .skp isn't a recognized extension in most forum SW. In Win7 you can do a right click/send to/compressed(zip).

-Textures are big and fat. I had an SKP that was 17MB and dropping the textures took it down to 3MB. Zipping dropped it further to 1.5MB. I love textures since they allow me to better visualize my final design.

-You can get rid of textures by opening the materials windows (wimdows/materials), in the drop down select "In Model" and delete all the textures. It will replace the texture with the default color.
